SIKA fruit
Sustainable protection as if wrapped by hand
Sales of organic food have been rising steadily since the turn of the millennium. Today's consumers not only pay attention to their diet, but also to their ecological footprint. Sustainable products therefore require sustainable packaging.
The SIKA fruit is a cartoning machine for solid and corrugated cardboard packaging. It can be used to package fruit and vegetables in particular safely, conveniently and attractively.
Functional principle:
- Filled fruit trays are placed on a conveyor belt.
- Side guides align the trays for further processing.
- While hot melt glue dots are applied to one side of the closure, guide elements place the handles one after the other around the product to be packaged.
- The size and number of glue dots can be varied and saved in recipes.
- After gluing, the contact surfaces are joined and pressed together.
- During transportation, the bonding is consolidated by a pressure ta
- A customizable, exchangeable counter-pressure strip is integrated to accommodate the necessary adhesive pressure and to protect the fruit.
